Harveys’ store on Southampton Road is one of the company’s 150 stores nationwide that will be overseen by the Furniture Ombudsman.

The ombudsman specialises in providing alternative dispute resolution solutions for consumers and retailers in the furniture and home improvement industries. It also aims to raise standards, improve service and inspire consumer confidence.

Richard Powell, Customer Services Director for Harveys, was delighted to announce the firm was now a full member of the ombudsman service to enhance consumer satisfaction.

He said: “Harveys is committed to ensuring our customers are totally satisfied when they buy from us. We are dedicated to the highest standards of service and product, and always strive to continually develop these.”

Kevin Grix, Head of The Furniture Ombudsman, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Harveys as members of the Furniture Ombudsman. We work with leading high street retailers, as well as independents, to raise standards and inspire consumer confidence.

“Harveys joins our other members and further realises our objective of increased protection and reassurance in the furniture and home improvement industries.”
